terms
1. Who these terms are between
These terms are an agreement between you and [[LEGAL ENTITY NAME]], [[REGISTERED ADDRESS]] (“Good Plugins”, “we”). They cover the FLEXTRACT application, thegoodplugins.com, and any licence we issue you.
By installing FLEXTRACT, creating an account, or using the site, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the software.
2. What your licence permits
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use FLEXTRACT. A licence covers up to two (2) machines at a time. You may move a licence between machines by removing one on your account page, which frees the seat immediately.
You may:
- use FLEXTRACT for commercial work, including music you sell or licence;
- use audio you extract from your own projects, or projects you have the rights to, without owing us anything or crediting us;
- install on a personal and a studio machine, within the two-machine limit.
You may not:
- share, resell, sublicense, rent or publish your serial;
- circumvent, disable or tamper with the licence check, or distribute anything designed to do so;
- decompile or reverse engineer the software, except where that right cannot lawfully be excluded (for example for interoperability under applicable law);
- remove or alter our branding and present the result as your own product;
- use the software to break the law or infringe anyone’s rights.
3. Your content stays yours
We claim no ownership of, and no licence to, anything you make with FLEXTRACT. Extraction runs entirely on your computer — we never receive your projects, audio or samples. Whatever you export is yours.
You are responsible for having the rights to the material you process. FLEXTRACT will happily open a project containing samples you do not own; that is your responsibility, not ours.
4. Free and Pro
The Free tier is free and stays free. It includes project import, detection, audition and capped WAV export. Pro unlocks slicing, the DSP transforms, Capture Wet, preset export and unlimited export. The current split is shown on our pricing page and may change for future versions — we will not remove something from Free that you already rely on without telling you.
Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. The standing price is $99; introductory pricing is temporary and shown on the pricing page.
5. Beta programme
If you are in the closed beta, some extra terms apply:
- Your beta licence is free and includes the full Pro feature set.
- Beta licences are time-limited and may stop working when the beta ends. We will give you notice and a route to a normal licence before that happens.
- Beta software is unfinished. Expect bugs. Keep backups of any project you care about — do not make a beta build the only thing standing between you and a lost session.
- We may ask for feedback. You are free to give it or not, and free to say publicly what you think of the product, positive or negative. Feedback you send us we may use to improve FLEXTRACT without owing you compensation.
- Beta places are at our discretion, and we may end a beta licence if it is shared or abused.
6. Payment, refunds and cancellation
When public sales open, payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. They take the payment, issue the receipt and handle sales tax and VAT. We never see your card details.
Refunds: we offer a refund within 14 days of purchase if FLEXTRACT does not work for you. Ask at support@thegoodplugins.com. You do not need to justify it. On a refund your licence is revoked and the software drops to Free. If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, this is in addition to your statutory withdrawal rights, which we do not limit.
7. Suspension and revocation
We may revoke a licence if it is shared publicly, used to circumvent the two-machine limit at scale, obtained fraudulently, or charged back. Where the situation allows it we will contact you first. We will not revoke a licence because you criticised us.
8. Availability
FLEXTRACT verifies its licence with our server periodically. It is designed to keep working offline: the check tolerates no connection, and a cached licence remains valid for a grace period. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the website or the licence service, and we may take either down for maintenance.
9. Warranty
FLEXTRACT is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the software is error-free, or that it will detect every sample in every project file correctly.
If you are a consumer, nothing here removes rights you have under mandatory consumer law, including your right to a product of satisfactory quality.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost revenue, lost sessions or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the previous twelve months, or US$50.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do. If a change materially reduces your rights we will email account holders rather than relying on you re-reading this page. Continuing to use FLEXTRACT after a change means you accept it; if you do not, stop using it and ask for a refund if you are inside the refund window.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [[JURISDICTION]], and the courts of [[JURISDICTION]] have exclusive jurisdiction — except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the right to bring proceedings in your own country of residence where mandatory local law gives you that right.
